Bring back the art of great chat

Some brands are founded on a “guiding principle” or a “mission statement”.

Good Chat was founded on a bad date.

We've all had a taste of awkward chats way before we even stepped into high school. So, why do we let bad conversation sneak into our daily lives as grown-ups?

Our journey into crafting conversation cards about both taboo and everyday topics started with a simple idea: let's make talking about the tricky stuff as easy and enjoyable as discussing the day-to-day.

We saw a gap in how people connect - often steering clear of the bold and the beautiful topics that truly define us. So, we set out to create a tool that encourages you to laugh, question, and bond over everything from the light-hearted to the deep and daring. It's all about bringing those hidden gems of conversation to the surface, fostering understanding, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

Why conversation cards?

Good Chat conversation cards are a fun and unashamed way to break down some of the invisible barriers we’ve created as humans to look past what’s on the surface, and give each other a chance at being real.

And learn a little bit in the process.

Cards for every occasion

From the boardroom to the bedroom, we’ve curated a series of questions that shouldn’t be (too) easy to answer.

If, after 52 cards, someone feels uncomfortable, someone gets the giggles, and someone says something out loud they’ve never said before: our work here is done.

Break The Ice

Spark a good chat

Good chat isn’t always easy. At the very least, we just want to make it happen, because a world with better communication is a better world.

Chat Better
  • “I love that the questions ask ‘why’, it meant we had to dig deeper.

We all learned something new about each other, but also about ourselves and where our own beliefs came from.”

  • “I have great chats with my friends already but this took us to a whole new level.

It took us 3 hours to get through, like, 4 questions because of the tangents we went on.”

  • “I used the Death deck to learn what my parent's views were about funerals without it being weird, and got to know more about their childhood.

    It was really nice”

  • “Casual dating feels less like an interview and a lot more fun using these cards.

Even if the date is a dud it's not a complete waste of time”

  • “The sex deck is wild.

So many thought-provoking questions and stuff I’d never have the balls to ask”

  • "My remote team and I answer one card at the start of our weekly meeting.

It's so nice to learn new things about them I'd never normally ask during our daily grind."
